Lucy is an approximately 22 month old spayed Welsh Springer Spaniel that was abandoned when her owner either moved from his apartment or was evicted. She is currently in the care of a foster mom that was near when the dog’s plight became known and she has taken Lucy in to her home. It appears that Lucy has been either not fully socialized or may have suffered some heavy-handling during the time that she was in the possession of her owner. She is not sure about men and needs some time and tender loving care in order to blossom and reach her potential. Her foster mother is working with her daily for socialization and Lucy also gets to visit a dog park in which she can run and swim each day. Lucy is currently in a foster home with a German Shepherd mix and seems to enjoy canine companionship too. Her foster mother calls her “wiggle-butt” and she is the quintessential Velcro dog.

Her foster mother has decided to keep her permanently.
